PTFE Membrane

Microlab® PTFE membrane is manufactured in a unique way where polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is expanded both uniaxially and biaxially. It’s supported by a polypropylene net laminated to the underside to improve handling characteristics. Both hydrophobic and hydrophilic PTFE Membranes are available.

Hydrophobic PTFE Membrane has good hydrophobility, excellent chemical resistance,
high porosity, excellent air permeability. The membrane is widely used for Air Monitoring and clarifying acids, bases, and solvents, propellants, analyzing hydraulic fluids, isolating RNA and so on.

Hydrophilic PTFE membrane is treated base on Hydrophobic PTFE membrane. It’s design as a Universal membrane for filtering both aqueous solutions and aggressive solvents, even mixture.

**Title: The Versatility of Microlab® PTFE Membranes: A Revolutionary Force in Filtration Technology**

In the field of filtration technology, Microlab® PTFE membranes stand out for their superior innovative performance. Manufactured using a unique process that combines uniaxial and biaxial expansion of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), these membranes achieve unparalleled performance and versatility. A polypropylene mesh lining the membrane bottom not only enhances its operational performance but also ensures its durability and reliability in a wide range of applications.

A key advantage of Microlab® PTFE membranes is their dual-type design, combining hydrophobic and hydrophilic properties. This flexibility allows users to select the appropriate membrane based on their specific filtration needs. Hydrophobic PTFE membranes are suitable for gas and non-aqueous liquid applications because they are waterproof and prevent wetting. Conversely, hydrophilic PTFE membranes are designed for aqueous solutions, enabling highly efficient liquid filtration while maintaining high flow rates.

Microlab® PTFE membranes are manufactured using a unique process that gives them excellent chemical resistance, making them suitable for harsh environments. Whether in laboratories, pharmaceutical plants, or industrial settings, these membranes can withstand the erosion of a variety of chemicals without compromising their integrity. This superior corrosion resistance is crucial for ensuring stable performance and long service life in filtration applications.

Furthermore, the combination of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) material and the polypropylene support mesh enhances the overall strength and stability of the membrane, making it easier to handle during installation and operation. This feature is particularly advantageous for users who require reliable and efficient filtration solutions but do not wish to handle fragile materials.

In summary, Microlab® PTFE membranes are a versatile and high-performance filtration solution that meets a wide range of filtration needs. With its unique manufacturing process, the option to use both hydrophobic and hydrophilic membranes, and superior operational performance, it represents a revolutionary advancement in filtration technology. Whether you are in a laboratory or industrial environment, investing in Microlab® PTFE membranes will undoubtedly help you elevate your filtration processes to a whole new level.
